Platonas Marlafekas was born in Patras in 1972. He holds a Business Administration & Organizations degree and has also studied Computer Programming - Systems Analyst and Marketing. In 1989, he took over the reins of the family business "Pan. Marlafekas & Sons GP" along with his siblings, guiding it towards dynamic growth.

Platonas Marlafekas is the President of EFEPAE (Intermediate Body of Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship Operational Programs) since 2021 and has been the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Achaia since 2012. Additionally, he serves as Vice President of Loux Marlafekas SA, the largest 100% Greek company in soft drinks and juices.

He actively participates in Achaia and Greece's business and social life. He has initiated actions and activities aimed at supporting the broader region on business, economic, and social levels.

Platonas has represented the Chamber of Commerce of Achaia at the European Parliament within the European Parliament of Enterprises framework since 2016. He has been the President of the Regional Chamber Council of Western Greece since 2021 and since 2015 he has been the President of the "Management of European Programs of Western Greece - Peloponnese - Epirus and Ionian Islands", which is a partner of EFEPAE. He is also a founding member and board member of "HELLA-DIKA MAS" since 2012.

During his tenure at Loux, along with his siblings and the company, they have received multiple awards in Greece and abroad. For instance, the company achieved first place as a Superbrand in non-alcoholic beverages at the Corporate Superbrand Greece 2017 awards. They have also received distinctions such as "Regional Excellence" from the Hellenic Association of Industries (SEV), "Business and Delivery" at the EBEA Awards 2020, and the "Georgios Avlonitis Marketing Award".
