Yiannis Nikas is an assistant professor at the Department of Tourism Management at the University of Patras and a member of the Laboratory of Information Systems & Predictions in Tourism.

His current research interests focus on the utilization of tourist data for studying and forecasting tourism demand, creating tourist maps and spatial models to understand urban tourism and the phenomenon of overtourism, and studying and promoting new forms of tourism related to emerging technologies.
