Vasilis Tountopoulos is a strategic development consultant with significant experience in financial management, negotiations, and restructuring of businesses and organizations. He is a PhD candidate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Peloponnese, focusing on business data analytics. He holds an MBA in Banking from ALBA Graduate Business School and an MSc in Tourism Administration from the Hellenic Open University.

He is a member of the Project Management Institute-Greece Chapter, an Adult Educator at the Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Patras, and a member of the Hellenic Scientific Society for Sport Management and Recreation.

Previously, he served as Regional Director for the Restructuring of Medium-Sized Enterprises and Director of Banking Centers in Commercial Banks such as Piraeus Bank, Cyprus Bank, and Alpha Bank. His expertise lies in business restructuring, nonprofit organizations, strategic development consultancy, and financing through conventional and alternative capital sources.

Throughout his career, he has successfully managed significant projects in developmental financing, consultancy, and revitalization of companies and alternative funding sources for small and medium-sized enterprises. He has also acted as a consultant and mentor in entrepreneurship support projects and good governance practices of organizations. Additionally, he co-founded and managed the development of the OLYMPASSMARK tool, which assesses the organizational structure of sports entities and event organizers.

Currently, Vasilis is the founder and managing director of MPDO Consulting S.A., a consulting and entrepreneurship support company, and the founder of KOTINOS TALES, a tourism agency specializing in sports and professional tourism. He continues to serve as a consultant to public sector entities.
