Vice Rector at University of Patras
Eleni N. Albani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at the University of Patras, specializing in Pediatric Nursing.
She graduated from the Nursing Department of the University of Patras (1996) and later obtained a degree in Social Work from the same institution (2005). She pursued postgraduate studies in Greece and abroad, earning the following degrees: "Primary Health Care" from the Medical School of the University of Thessaly (2010), "Health Unit Administration" from the Open University of Italy (2012).
She was awarded a PhD in Primary Health Care from the Medical School of the University of Thessaly (2017). 
In 2018, she was elected and appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at the University of Patras, and in 2023, she was promoted to Associate Professor, where she continues to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
She has also taught as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Hellenic Open University (in the Undergraduate Public Administration Program of the School of Social Sciences, from 2021 to 2023). Additionally, she serves as a visiting professor in postgraduate programs at: The Medical Schools of the University of Ioannina, University of Thessaly, University of Crete, and University of West Attica, The National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA)
She supervises PhD dissertations and master's theses and is the Scientific Coordinator for Student Internships in Greece and Cyprus.
 
She worked for 20 years as a nurse at the Pediatric Hospital of Patras "Karamandaneio". From 2015 to February 2018, she served as the Director of Nursing Services.
From October 2012 to April 2015, she held the position of Deputy Governor of the 6th Regional Health Authority (Peloponnese, Ionian Islands, Epirus, and Western Greece) (Government Gazette 477/11-10-2012). Her responsibilities included: Monitoring and supervising the Directorate of Planning and Policy Development, Technical Services, and IT Services, Overseeing the Mental Health and Public Health sectors, Managing the operation of KEKYKA (Regional Health Coordination Center) and ESPA-funded programs (Government Gazette 240/Β΄/08-02-2013), Supervising mental health units and structures, primary health care services, and medical personnel shifts.
 
Her academic work includes authoring book chapters in both Greek and international publications and publishing research articles in Greek and international scientific journals.
