Kleomenis Kostopoulos is a visual artist, exhibition curator, and the artistic director of the International Street Art Festival of Patras │ ArtWalk. He is a representative of the "Achaia Culture Network" and the founder and representative of "Art in Progress," a cultural organization that has played a significant role in promoting contemporary art in Greece.
He graduated with excellence in painting from the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) and completed postgraduate studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and Berlin. He has deepened his knowledge in art theory and practice by attending art history seminars at the University of Tübingen. He has received numerous awards, distinctions, and scholarships from public and private institutions in Greece and abroad.
He has extensive experience in organizing and curating contemporary visual art exhibitions and festivals. Since 2012, he has served as the artistic director of ArtWalk in Patras, as well as of the RE-culture contemporary art festivals. He has collaborated with cultural institutions and municipalities on visual art interventions and has led creative programs, including the European TRACES project.
One of his most notable contributions was his artistic direction of large-scale cultural projects, including his role in the artistic preparation of the opening ceremony of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
He has carried out artistic interventions in public and private spaces in Greece and abroad. Additionally, he has participated in numerous conferences and consultations on cultural policy.
His artistic work has been presented in over 40 solo and group exhibitions in Greece and internationally. His practice focuses on the social dimension of art, public intervention, and the creative reshaping of the urban landscape through contemporary art.
