Nikolaos Papanikolaoy is currently serving as the Deputy Mayor of Civil Protection, Urban Planning & Sustainable Tourism for the Municipality of the Holy City of Messolonghi (since February 2025). With a strong background in civil protection, he oversees disaster management, citizen training, and interagency collaboration. His expertise also extends to urban planning, infrastructure development, and promoting sustainable tourism. Since March 2024, he has been the President of the Messolonghi Landfill Management. Previously, he managed and owned a courier business for 10 years and worked in the hospitality industry. He holds a degree in Electronic Installations & Automation and is further specializing in Art and Antiquities Restoration. He is married with two children.
