Takis (Panagiotis) Andriopoulos was born in 1968 in Aigio and grew up in a farming family in the village of Krini. Later, he moved with his family to Akoli, where he still resides today. From an early age, he developed strong ties with the local community and its traditions. He graduated from the 1st High School of Aigio, and his love for the local society and his desire to contribute to its development led him early on into the business and social arena.
He is married to Giota Andriopoulou, who is also a farmer, and together they have built a close-knit family with two children studying at universities in the country.
He is an entrepreneur in the food service industry and is also actively involved in the production of agricultural products such as raisins, vineyards, and olive oil. His deep knowledge of raisin production, one of the region’s most important products, makes him a valuable partner for local farmers. Through his business activities, he highlights the importance of sustainable development and collaboration with the residents of Aigialeia.
His involvement in public affairs began in 2014 when he was elected President of the Rododafni Municipal Community, focusing on direct communication with citizens. In 2018, he resigned, distancing himself from the political direction of the then-municipal administration, demonstrating his commitment to values that serve the common good.
In 2019, he was elected a municipal councilor under the team of Dimitris Kalogeropoulos, earning the trust of his fellow citizens. As Deputy Mayor of Welfare and Agricultural Development (2020-2021), he promoted initiatives to support vulnerable groups and strengthen agricultural infrastructure. Later, as President of the Legal Entity until 2023, he contributed to improving social welfare and sports activities in the municipality.
As Deputy Mayor of Culture during Dimitris Kalogeropoulos’ second term, he developed a dynamic action plan that enhanced local cultural life and attracted visitors, with a particular emphasis on open-air concerts and events that were warmly received by both residents and visitors of the municipality.
Following the passing of Dimitris Kalogeropoulos, Takis Andriopoulos was elected Mayor of Aigialeia by the municipal group "Aigialeia Now." Although he has only recently assumed this position, his experience and respect for the political legacy of his predecessor ensure the continuation and completion of projects that had been planned and announced by the previous municipal administration.
Takis Andriopoulos is committed to promoting sustainable development and addressing the needs of the local community with transparency and collaboration, ushering in a new era of progress and prosperity for the Municipality of Aigialeia.
