Founder, Patras Broadband

Andreas Andrianopoulos was born in Patras in 1983. He attended the Experimental School of the University of Patras, from which he graduated in 2002. The early death of his father led him, for livelihood reasons, to forgo higher education and enter the workforce immediately.

Throughout his professional career, he has collaborated with numerous employers, gaining significant experience in sectors such as telecommunications, electrical installations (both high and low current systems), distillery production, sales, hospitality, and large-scale electromechanical installations.

Important milestones in his professional journey include:

  • His first entrepreneurial venture in 2009, with the founding of V.L.E.PO. (Step for Speech, Communication and Culture).
  • His involvement in the primary sector with the olive oil products “Elia” and “Just Olive Oil”, an activity that came to an abrupt halt due to the 2020 pandemic.
  • Since 2018, the establishment of locally oriented telecommunications companies such as Ithaca Broadband, Patras Broadband, West Broadband, and Olympic Telecom. The largest of these, Patras Broadband, currently serves more than 4,000 subscribers, employs 14 staff members, and operates modern facilities at the entrance of the city.

Alongside his professional activity, Andreas Andrianopoulos has developed significant social and volunteer work. Since 2006, he has been an active member of the Hellenic Rescue Team, where he has served as an instructor and Deputy Operations Director. Key moments of his humanitarian contribution include:

  • The humanitarian mission to Gaza (2009).
  • Participation in the mission to earthquake-stricken Haiti (2010).
  • Six months of volunteer work rescuing thousands of migrants in Lesvos (2015–2016).

In the past, he was actively involved in the Scouts movement, and in 1999 he participated in the creation of camps for victims of the Athens earthquake.

He is married to Vasiliki Chantzara and resides permanently in Patras, Greece.
