Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos joined Coffee Island in 2010 and in 2013 assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, leading the company to the top of the industry. Under his leadership, Coffee Island — with its starting point and constant reference being our city, Patras — evolved into the largest coffee chain in Greece and the seventh largest in Europe, with more than 1,800 tons of Premium & Specialty coffee processed annually for approximately 500 stores across several countries. This international growth has been recognized with awards at the European Business Awards (2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023).

With studies in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management, and as a PhD candidate at the University of Patras, Konstantinos combines expertise, passion, and vision. He is also among the first holders of the Coffee Diploma in Europe. Since 2023, he has served as President of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), and since 2024 as President of the Coffee Science Foundation, actively contributing to the global promotion of specialty coffee as a fair and sustainable industry. At the same time, through his involvement in the franchising sector as President of the Hellenic Franchise Association and as a member of the “Elladika Mas” initiative, he supports the development of Greek production and entrepreneurship.
