President of the Hellenic Fashion Designers Association (HFDA)

Orsalia Parthenis was born and raised in Athens, in an environment where fashion was both a daily reality and a family craft. She studied Art History at Brown University and continued her academic education at the Courtauld Institute of Art, specializing in the History of Dress.

Her professional path began abroad, where she worked as a stylist for Brides magazine under the Condé Nast publishing group. A few years later, she returned to Greece to join the family fashion house Parthenis, and in 1996 she took over its full creative and managerial direction.

Under her leadership, the Parthenis brand remains rooted in its signature Greek clarity: timeless silhouettes, natural fabrics, and a unisex, easy-living approach that defines its identity. At the same time, Orsalia has evolved the house’s aesthetic, maintaining its relevance and contemporary presence in both the Greek and international market.

Beyond her creative work, she is an active figure in the Greek fashion community and serves as President of the Hellenic Fashion Designers Association (HFDA), advocating for the growth and recognition of Greek fashion as an important cultural and economic sector.
