Periklis Baltas is a graduate of the University of Piraeus. In 1985, he began his long-standing association with Achaia Clauss, a journey that deeply immersed him in the culture and heritage of wine.

Throughout his career within this historic winery, he had the opportunity to engage closely with vineyard growers and distinguished figures in the wine world, shaping his philosophy on wine and quality. As he characteristically notes, “in poetry and wine, one cannot lie, and quality is not imposed but conveyed with humility.”

Serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors, he was responsible for overseeing the company’s financial and legal affairs, contributing significantly to its stability and growth.

Since 2015, he has passed on executive responsibilities to the younger generation and now focuses on highlighting the history and managing the archival heritage of Achaia Clauss, the iconic winery that marks the starting point of Greek winemaking tradition.
