Dr. Petros Papapetropoulos is an economist specializing in economic and regional development and a political scientist. He is an Assistant Professor of Business Economics at the University of Patras, Department of Tourism Management.
He holds a PhD in Economic and Regional Development from Panteion University, a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Development, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Open and Distance Adult Education. He also holds degrees in Political Science and International Studies from Panteion University and in Education from the Pedagogical Academy of Tripoli.
His teaching experience includes subjects such as Managerial Economics, International Trade, Regional Development and Tourism, Political Economy, Consumer Behavior, Strategic Marketing, and Advertising & Public Relations.
In the private sector, he has worked as an economist and regional development specialist (1990-2008), focusing on business economics, management, financial planning, consumer behavior, market research, and investment project implementation.
In the public sector, he served as Head of the Marketing and Advertising Department at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Patras (2009-2012) and as Deputy Head of the Department of Applied Informatics in Management and Economics during the same period
